Call Of Duty Accidentally Reveals Halloween Ghostface Skin Early
Call of Duty’s Halloween event last year was one to beat. Introducing some compelling IP cosmetics in the form of Billy the Puppet from Saw and Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, alongside an exciting new mode to bring in the spooky season. It was made immediately clear that Warzone was on the ball when it came to celebrating the holiday, and now, fans are wondering what’s to come this year.
It was only recently that the next Haunting event was teased in the form of a pumpkin bucket of candy on a shelf in Nuketown. Now, we’ve seen a huge leak that reveals the newest horror-themed cosmetic that’s coming to the game.
Warzone Leak Reveals Ghostface Skin
It has been revealed through a strange glitch in Warzone that Ghostface, the iconic killer from the iconic slasher Scream, will be making his arrival in Verdansk shortly.
The short clip, originally shared by Karnage clan member Ryan B, reveals that getting booted from a Zombies game and joining Multiplayer gave him access to the Ghostface operator under the Warsaw team.
This appearance from Ghostface comes as hype for the upcoming film in the Scream series, creatively titled SCREAM, grows to a fever pitch. The film is expected to get a trailer drop soon to coincide with the anniversary of the original film’s release.
Who Else Is Coming To Warzone’s Halloween Event?
This reveal of course begs the question - who else is yet to come to the game?
A leak has suggested that Frank from the emo classic Donnie Darko would be coming to the game, and another Ghostface leak may have suggested even further that he’ll be present in Call of Duty before the month is out.
A clip posted in the replies to the Ghostface reveal shows a Ghostface finisher, with a short flash at the end showing a standard skin lunging to stab Frank in the chest. If this is a genuine leak, it could be the final confirmation to know that Donnie Darko has finally made the step into the shooter franchise.
It already looks like this year’s Haunting event could be on par with last year’s, and it’s exciting to see more IPs join the world of Call of Duty. Do Michael Myers next, you cowards.
