Cloud9 White are quite simply the queens of VALORANT, having earned the crown that sits atop of their heads through back to back Championship victories in the VCT Game Changers Series. The all-female tour has been dominated by C9, who went through the main event without dropping a single map.

Having swept Counter Logic Gaming Red in the Grand Finals 3-0, the roster has now called on the scene to continue to develop by challenging themselves in the VCT Tour, outside of the all-girl branches.

Taking to interviews following their $20,000 success, the VALORANT roster has urged their opponents to play against teams better than C9 White to learn new tricks and strategies from the VCT Open Qualifiers - even if they suffer heavy defeats.

C9 White Urge All-Female Teams To Play In The VCT Open Qualifiers

Following their second successive championship title, Cloud9 White's Annie "AnnieDro" Roberts said all-female VALORANT teams "need to start getting into these open tournaments."

She continued to say "When we first joined those tournaments, we weren’t winning, we were getting rolled, I think we even got 13-0’d a couple of times. But that didn’t stop us. We didn’t go home and cry. It gave us more footage to review so that we got better.

"That is the one step you can take to actually improving beyond your scene; actually going out of your scene. We went beyond the girls’ scene and that’s why we’re at the top right now. I think if other [female] teams do that, then we’re going to see more close matches, and maybe a team taking a series off of us.”

Fellow teammate "Katsumi" added that “If you want to be better than us, you have to compete against people who are better than us. You can’t do that playing the women’s only [events].”

Cloud9 White Set To Play In The VCT Stage 3 NA Open Qualifiers

According to Melanie "MeL" Capone, C9 White will continue to challenge themselves in the open Qualifiers in Stage 3, having been beaten by XSET Gaming in their previous attempts.

MeL also confirmed that their finalist opponents, CLG Red, will also be competing in the second qualifiers for the VCT Stage 3.

Shopify Rebellion, who come as the only team to take a map off C9 white since the Game Changers started, will also be playing in events such as the Nerd Street Gamers and Pittsburgh Knights monthly events, just as C9 White have been.

The fixtures have yet to be decided for the VCT Open Qualifiers, although Sentinels and Version1 will have automatic seeds following their success in Stage 2. The qualifiers will kick off on July 2.
