Memory lane is a dark, winding, and seamlessly endless path, especially when it is haunted by the undead. If only there was a bus that would make your journey quicker, with a robot driver at the helm.

Well, for Call of Duty fans around the globe, your memories (or nightmares) are set to become reality again as the demonic metal chatterbox is set to return in Black Ops Cold War.

According to esteemed dataminer "Bktoor", Treyarch will be reliving the long night by remastering three classic zombies maps, plucked straight from Black Ops 2.

The three maps are also allegedly going to be made available through the three-way integrated battle pass in Season 2, meaning it can be unlocked by playing Modern Warfare, Warzone, and Black Ops. Those who have yet to purchase Black Ops may be left with a sour taste in their mouths after unlocking them though, as the full game will need to be purchased, and cannot be accessed from the free-to-play instalment of Warzone - unless Treyarch offers another free Zombies weekend.

Black Ops Cold War - Tranzit

Since the release of Treyarch's most recent instalment within the franchise, rumours of a Tranzit remake were rife. Many whispers surfaced that the hell bus will be coming back to transport you from the station to various locations including Nacht Der Untoten (also remastered for Black Ops Cold War). Featuring five main locations  - a Bus Depot, a Diner, a Farm, a Power Plant, and a Town - Tranzit also played host to a variety of Easter Eggs and craftable weapons.

Whether Tranzit will revisit the existing route is yet to be seen though. Players could ditch the bus mid-journey and head towards Nacht Der Untoten as it was seen in Call of Duty: 4, however, as we've seen in Die Maschine, this area is very different in the 1980s. Either way, it's set to land in February.

Black Ops Cold War - Die Rise

Die Rise is also set to be spruced up and become available in the Season 2 battle pass. This map was one of the lesser-known ventures in the Aether storyline; however, it boasted great rustic zombies fun. With elevator shafts that transport yourself and perks around two multistory buildings on the verge of collapsing, the threat of plummeting to your death is met with a frantic bid to slay the undead.

Be careful not to find yourself with your back to a shaft, as you'll soon be met with the tough decision of being a zombies dinner or becoming scrambled egg after a 40-foot fall.

Black Ops Cold War - Buried

One of the earlier maps within the storyline is also returning, with a hole in the Angolan deserts being a portal to the underground town populated with flesh-eating villagers. The final map to be included in the Season 2 battle pass will bring back Arthur too, the big bumbling braveheart who will crash through buildings when prompted by a sweet treat or getting him tipsy.

The three maps will accompany Firebase Z too, giving a whole new lease to the Zombies fanatics that Treyarch has moulded throughout the years.
