Bubzkji Hilariously Mocks Astralis After Being Benched
Despite scraping through to the last 16 of the PGL Stockholm Major, Astralis fans are still questioning the organisation's treatment of Lukas "Bubzkji" Andersen, who was benched just a day prior to the event.
In search of their first piece of silverware in two years, Astralis decided to make yet another roster change prior to the first Major since LANs returned, opting to bring in rising star Philip "Lucky" Ewald as a dedicated AWP and removing Bubzkji, arguably one of their better performers in recent months.
The decision was further criticised after the prestigious side lost back-to-back opening games in the Challengers stage. A 16-6 thrashing by Copenhagen Flames and a similar dismantling by Entropiq has Astralis facing an early exit, although they soon found a little bit of form to scrape into the last 16.
More woes faced them in their Legends Stage matches, beating FURIA before dropping consecutive ties to Ninjas In Pyjamas and Heroic, leaving them a mountain to climb to feature in the playoff stages and save them from being red-faced.
However, their recently subbed player Bubzkji has taken a jab at the organisation of Twitter, mocking the decision to have him benched.
The Danish rifler took an ample opportunity to make a mockery of Astralis on Twitter, replying to a community-driven Tweet, inferring that his favourite part about a map is a bench, a cheeky parody of his recent position in their ranks.
Typical of the "ratio" culture on Twitter, Bubzkji's antic was lapped up by fans, praising his savagery and piling the pressure on the organisation.
Bubzkji has had a strange tenure at Astralis. Considered to be one of the most distinguished organisations in Counter-Strike history, the young talent has been chopped and swapped from the starting roster at their will, drawing levels of confusion about their recent dip in form.
Despite the public ridiculing, Astralis could salvage a decent finish at the Major, should they beat Team Vitality - although Mathieu "ZywOo" stands in their way.
