Boogie Bomb Hack Stops Fortnite Players Obtaining Damage

Love them or hate them, Boogie Bombs are firmly back in Fortnite. Personally, we love seeing players dance their way into oblivion and then being taken out before they know what's hit them - clue, it's usually a bullet to the brain. However, a new Boogie Bomb hack has taken away some of the fun for players hoping to make their enemies hop, skip and dance away.

With Chapter 2 Season 4's Marvel-themed update, it's even funnier to watch the likes of Thor, Storm, or Doctor Doom bopping away before they're felled to the floor. Even if Boogie Bombs are a fan-favourite, some vexed players have figured out how to stop themselves from being damaged by those shiny disco balls.

Boogie Bombs were originally disabled in 2018 when an unlimited item glitch was discovered. They were then unvaulted as part of Winterfest and finally brought back full-time as part of August 28's v14.00.

Boogie Bombs can be deadly in Fortnite, offering you a chance to cancel their effects early and take damage, or wait out the five-second time and potentially be taken out. This latest exploit was discovered by 100 Thieves' Martin "MrSavage" Andersen. It's hard to believe MrSavage is just 15 years old and discovering things like this, but either way, there's sure to be a lot of players who are thankful.

Posting on Reddit, MrSavage showed how players can use bounce pads to nullify the effects of the Boogie Bomb and avoid the damage hit. Okay, so it doesn't exactly cancel the weapon, but by launching yourself into the air, the Boogie Bomb hack sends you flying away from your potential attacker.

Unless they're a crack shot at clay pigeon shooting, you should hopefully escape unharmed. Also, with the exploit being relatively unknown (until now), most attackers would expect you to be frozen to the spot and dance away for an easy kill.

Launching above your opponent could give you the upper hand to snipe them from afar. Also, the workaround is a great way to save that all-important health for later in the game. Given how Epic is normally on it with exploits, will we have a repeat of 2018 where Boogie Bombs were disabled? The Boogie Bomb hack could very well end the revisited fun before it even had a chance to truly flourish.

The most likely option is that developers will add a Boogie Bomb fix into the next patch and return Boogie Bombs to their unstoppable glory. In the meantime, feel free to dress as Mystique and bounce your way to safety with the Boogie Bomb hack.
