The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) scene is sure to be a "blast" in 2021 as BLAST Premier has just announced its tournament dates for the upcoming year. The tournament organiser will host the first and last events of the CS:GO calendar year, making it one to mark in your diaries.

BLAST promises to round off 2021 in style when the world's best CS:GO team is crowned on December 18, 2021. It will be the culmination of 11 months of bullet-riddled action that will kick-off in early February.

Over 100 teams will duke it out in an evolved qualifier series, while BLAST’s 12 member teams will also tool up for another season. BLAST has teased there will be more matches than ever before, with up to 570 hours of CS:GO action being put in the crosshairs.

The Spring Season starts in early February and will close in mid-June. The Fall Season will debut toward the end of August and finish in late-November. Here's the full rundown of 2021 tournament dates:

2021 season dates:

BLAST Premier Spring Season

  • 4-14 February
  • 13-18 April
  • 16-20 June

BLAST Premier Fall Season

  • 26 August-5 September
  • 12-17 October
  • 24-28 November

BLAST Premier Final

  • 14-18 December

Discussing the jam-packed 2021, Nicolas Estrup, Director of Product and Experience for BLAST, said: “It feels great to bring positive changes to our second year of BLAST Premier as we continue to work for a better schedule for teams, players and everyone working in the circuit. We are committed to helping decrease player burnout and ensure that players have more breaks over the course of a year and have planned our events and dates with this in mind".

“After the introduction in early 2020 of our frosted glass face-off studio with a player tunnel and since pivoting to online-only due to COVID-19, we have led the way with player cams from home, fan cams, team comms and bringing all the teams to the same continent to play - we look forward to more pioneering production and fan experiences throughout 2021 and beyond, with plenty left to come.”

If you're worried you're going to miss out on anything, BLAST has promised no team will play more than two Bo3 matches a day and explained competitions will be peppered through the year to try and avoid event clashes. Now you know what's going on with BLAST Premier in 2021, settle in for another thrilling year of CS:GO.
