BLAST Premier, mainly known for their huge tournaments in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), and early events in VALORANT, have revealed that they are venturing into the realms of Battle Royale.

The tournament organisers have now revealed a brand-new event: The BLAST Premier Fortnite Champions Series (FNCS) All-Star Showdown.

BLAST will look to produce a different style of Fortnite gameplay than ever seen before, having the 30 top trios in the world compete in custom Creative arenas.

To top off the week-long event, all the trios will also be ripped apart to play in a solos Battle Royale where they can eliminate teammates and enemies to be crowned champion.

"We're thrilled to embark on this journey with the talented people behind Fortnite Competitive and the FNCS." said Nicolas Estrup, VP of Product at BLAST. "Being able to dedicate challenges to showcase all the intricacies of what it means to be a top Fortnite player really excites us and we hope the community will feel the same.

Estrup continued to say “Utilising the BLAST production, tournament operations and technology expertise in a Battle Royale game is something we've looked forward to for a long time. We have taken inspiration from the best of traditional sports and competitive gaming to ensure this new event and format is at the forefront of viewer experiences in competitive gaming today."

Whilst the announcement doesn't outline which all-stars have been selected, BLAST has confirmed that the top 15 teams in their respective regions from FNCS Chapter 2 Season 5 and FNCS Chapter 2 Season 6 will able to compete.

As previously revealed, the event will be split into seven regions of Oceania, Asia, Middle East, Europe, Brazil, North America East, and North America West.

The BLAST Fortnite All-Star Showdown will kick off on June 23 and run for four days.

The best players in the world will also be showing off their skills in the UEFA Euro 2020 Cup in the early weeks of June, which will coincide with the International Football event.
