Black Ops Cold War Alpha Maps And Game Modes

Call of Duty fans get to enjoy the special Alpha release of Black Ops: Cold War this weekend from September 18 to 20, only on PlayStation 4.

The full game is set to release on November 13. Developers Treyarch are hoping the feedback from the community, pro players, and streamers alike will help them improve the game for Beta.

So, which game modes and maps are available to play if you're playing the Alpha?

Black Ops Cold War Alpha Maps

There are five total maps available to play in the Black Ops Cold War Alpha, for both 6v6 and 12v12 setups.

6v6 Maps

Satellite

Satellite boasts a sandy, rocky, desert landscape, with plenty of cliffs and hillsides to get snipin'. The fallen satellite is the focal point of the map, so that'll be the one you want to guard.

Miami

Set on the beautiful South Beach, Miami, this city map with neon signage is the perfect place for some brawling on the streets.

Moscow

Fight for your team on the (rather depressing) rainy streets of Moscow. Very Cold War.

12v12 Maps

Armada

Boats, boats, and more boats! The North Atlantic Ocean sets the scene for the Armada map, allowing players to zipline from ship to ship or control gunboats.

Crossroads

A snowy Soviet scene is the perfect place to freeze your enemies chance of victory.

Black Ops Cold War Alpha Game Modes

Again, the game modes in the BOCW Alpha are for 6v6 and 12v12 setups.

6v6 Game Modes

Team Deathmatch

A classic Call of Duty game mode refreshed for the BOCW Alpha. Get as many kills as you can, soldier.

Domination

The team with the highest score wins - simple as that. Another revitalised fan-favourite.

Kill Confirmed

Eliminate players and collect their dog tags to score points for your team, or grab your fallen ally's tag to prevent the enemy from scoring.

Hardpoint

Secure and hold a specific point on the map, taking out any foe who gets in your way.

12v12 Game Modes

Combined Arms: Domination

This game mode is exclusive to the 12v12 format, and features on larger maps. Vehicles such as tanks, gunboats, and snowmobiles are also available to use.
