Battlefield 2042’s delay has a lot of fans worried. The game has been a long time coming, and it looks like a pretty demanding title. The developer team at EA making the decision to push the game back a month has made fans concerned. If they’re cramming now, what happens on release day? Will the game truly be ready for launch by the time it does?

It’s a fair worry to have, and fans have been vocal about it online. But, one developer has made an attempt to quell concerns from the FPS game’s loyal fanbase.

Battlefield Dev Tells Fans To ‘Have Faith’

Jim Hejl, a member of the Battlefield 2042 development team, has taken to Twitter to make sure fans are still just as ready for the game now as they were pre-delay. "Hey, I really appreciate all the support from the community regarding the new 2042 dates", he begins. "It feels really good that you trust us. And you should. It’s a solid game. This isn’t my first rodeo. It’s not a project in trouble. It just needs a little longer on spin cycle. Have faith fam".

It seems like a relatively harmless tweet that was supposed to put a lot of fans’ thoughts at rest - but it’s done the complete opposite for some. Maybe it's the use of "fam" that's rattled the Battlefield community, but either way, Hejl has opened a can of worms here.

Fans Clap Back At ‘Have Faith Fam’ Tweet

Whoops.

Fans are coming back to attack Hejl for his tweet, asserting that they've heard it all before with previous Battlefield games.

Other players are surprised by the notion of trust, as they feel there was no reason to trust the team in the first place.

Plus, the tweet isn’t much reassurance to those who didn’t have much faith in the franchise to begin with.

The majority seems to be a lot more hesitant as a result of the pushback, but we’re yet to see how Battlefield 2042 will perform on launch. For those who are struggling to find that good ol' Battlefield spirit, there’s no reason you have to play the game - chances are EA will be just fine either way.
