Apex Legends Server Issues Could ‘Continue For Days’
Apex Legends’ recent collection event has been a great addition to the game for fans. Rampart has been long overdue for a buff that makes her more fun, and thankfully, her quadrupled pick rate has proven that Respawn’s efforts have worked.
The addition of her heirloom, Arenas Takeover and new themed POI has kept fans very happy, and put the junker back in the spotlight.
But, the event has had some trouble, as ever since launch, servers have been crippled under the weight of sheer player numbers. Lagging and broken games have been the norm since the event’s arrival, and Ranked players especially are angry.
And, sadly, we might have to wait a little longer before we see a fix.
Apex Legends Server Issues Set To Persist
Respawn Entertainment has come through with some news concerning Apex Legends’ server problems, and it’s not particularly good. The developers have stated that they’re still "seeing roughly three times the normal rate of disconnect errors in @PlayApex, and a full return to normal may take until our next planned patch on Sept 22."
It’s a shame that we’ll have to wait, but the team has a way of offsetting some frustrations from the ranked Apex community - "We’ll extend the current ranked split by one week - that update will go live Monday."
It’s been some time since Respawn has had to deal with Apex connectivity problems on this scale, and it’s a shame to see that we’ll have to wait - but given the team’s clear track record when it comes to patching problems, we’ll allow them a pass.
Other fans aren’t so forgiving.
Fans React To Apex Legends’ Bug Fix Delays
Some fans are deeply unhappy about the day, and will apparently be struggling to wait until the patch on the 22nd.
It’s a shame that Apex is suffering from so many lag issues and that some fans are kicking off. While a few days surely won’t hurt, the wider community is less than impressed. It seems Respawn just can't catch a break, but with any luck, we’ll be back to normal soon. They say patience is a virtue.
