Apex Legends Mobile Leaks Reveal Team Deathmatch Mode
Apex Legends Mobile has been a long time coming for many fans. The battle royale genre’s transition to the pockets of players has been a surprisingly effective one, seamlessly making their way to a system that allows the game to be played anywhere, anytime (unless you fancy playing Fortnite on an Apple device, of course).
Apex is the latest to join the mobile club, with its pocket version gearing up for launch, and fans are clamouring for their chance to get their hands on it. Now especially, as more details spill out regarding the mobile edition of the game, as it will have some features that the original game won’t.
Apex Legends Mobile Will Have A Team Deathmatch Mode
While of course, Apex Legends Mobile is looking to be a very different game from the original console edition, many fans are surprised to see that it will be coming packaged with an entirely new game mode.
A team deathmatch mode is set to come to the game, as revealed by a video from JustSpawn. It features a weapon selection screen similar to arenas that allow players to choose their weapon, then drops players into small maps based on familiar locations in a 6v6 formation.
It’s interesting to see this mode hit mobile before it hits console, but chances are it’ll be a great selling point to give mobile a try if you were playing on your console anyway.
Interestingly, though, this isn’t the only thing that has been revealed to be coming to Apex Legends Mobile.
Apex Legends Mobile Is Getting ‘Level Up’ Mechanics
Along with the surprising addition of team deathmatch, Apex Legends Mobile is getting a new system that allows players to ‘level up’ their legends with new perks to assist in-game. Among others, the perks include the ability to reduce tactical cooldowns and regenerating shields.
It’s an addition that flips the balance of the game on its head, which is deeply fascinating, especially as we’re yet to see the application of these systems, but one thing is for sure; Mobile is going to be very different to the Apex Legends base game.
Fans can’t wait to get their hands on the mobile version of the game, but now it seems that it’s for a very different reason. It’s practically an all-new game with familiar characters, like a quasi-sequel. We’re fascinated to see exactly what the launch of the game brings, and what it will do to Apex’s worldwide recognisability. Who knows - maybe Mobile will even overtake the base game.
