Apex Legends is kicking off their birthday party in style. Celebrating becoming two years old, the Battle Royale is plunging into the red zone, splashing blood-stained skins across Kings Canyon, Olympus, and World's Edge.

The Anniversary Collection Event is here, and with it comes a wealth of new customisation features alongside challenges that will see you grind up the Battle Pass tiers and the return of a beloved game mode.

Starting on February 9, lasting an entire two weeks, the Anniversary Collection Event will take over. Grab your 30-30 Repeater and get a load of what's in store...

The Wraith Cat Skin Is Back!

This kitty bites so hard it'll send you to a new dimension. Every legend has been gifted a sleek crimson makeover to one of their skins, including Wraith's Cat attire: Void Prowler.

The skin will become available within the Anniversary Collection Event as rewards, alongside one for both Bloodhound and Octane. The latter will be getting a revamp of the Jade Tiger, ditching the emerald glow for a deep ruby shine.

The store will be offering players the chance to get their hands on four bundles, all offering at least one skin:

  • Pure Fire 7-Pack Bundle (5,000 AC - 7 Apex Packs and a Lifeline skin)
  • Blood Moon 3-Pack Bundle (2,500 AC - Featuring a red and gold glow up for Bloodhound and three Apex Packs)
  • Mecha Over Matter Bundle (2,500 AC - Gibraltar and Mirage skins)
  • Hunt And Run Bundle (2,500 AC - Octane and Bangalore Skins)

Mozambique Here!

If you've ever thought some of the Apex Legends' challenges were tough, think bigger. 4,000 damage in one game, think bigger. Play in a squad where you all get at least ten kills, think even BIGGER.

In the Anniversary Collection Event, you will have the opportunity to work towards a range of new badges such as the "Respect your elders" Mozambique badge by dealing 102,816 Damage. However, as a bonus, there is a weapon charm up for grabs named "Mozambique here" which challenges you to get a whopping 3,333 damage with the pea shooter.

Othe challenges such as “Daily Discovery” will gift you a Nessie Badge (done by completing 75 Daily Challenges), whilst others will combine previous adventures to unlock the Smolfinder Badge (done by earning “Time to Win and Stay Alive” with eight different Legends).

Reap The Rewards

With new events come new rewards, and in addition to the aforementioned skins, more weapon wraps, Apex Packs, and birthday treats will be up for grabs.

The Reward Track for the Anniversary Collection Event will include 22 earnable items including ten Apex Packs, two premium and exclusive Event Packs, a neat glitterball charm, a sea-blue R-99 skin, an unearthly Charge Rifle skin, and even a wee little Nessie charm (equip your Horizon accent, please).

Time To Lock And Load

As always, an in-game limited-time game mode is helping spice up the celebrations. Returning from the archives it the heavy-hitting "Locked and Loaded" game mode that will help you along the way to getting the 3,333 Mozambique damage in a single match.

Players will be equipped with a Mozambique, White Shotgun Bolt, HCOG Classic Scope, White Evo Shield, White Helmet, White Backpack, White Knockdown Shield, two Syringes, two Shield Cells, and one stack of shotgun ammo, on their quest to victory.

The game mode will run through the entirety of the event, so grab a 'bique and a Gibby shield and head down to Kings Canyon for a bit of up-close and personal action. See you there, outlanders.
