Apex Legends' esports scene has grown immensely over the last year, partly to the game's increasing player base and the number of top-tier orgs continuing to support their rosters.

With the ALGS Championships suffering from the impacts of the global pandemic, the Grand Finals will remain on LAN, as the top 30 teams in the NA and EMEA regions will compete for their slice of the crowd-funded $2,000,000 prize pool.

With such a hyped championship, Respawn Entertainment is now giving back to the fans.

For the ALGS Grand Finals on June 12 and 13, Apex Legends are enabling Twitch Drops, rewarding their loyal viewers with primed in-game items.

For players turning into the stream throughout the weekend, four prizes are up for grabs. For the more hours viewed, the rewards will stack up, with a total of four hours needed to get your hands on the final drop.

Viewers will be happy to know that a rare (and exclusive) Bangalore Ocean Spear skin is up for grabs, alongside an Epic “You are the Champion” Weapon Charm. The other two rewards come in the form of a rare Copperhead Alternator skin and an ALGS-inspired Holo-Spray.

ALGS Grand Finals Preview

Going into the ALGS NA Grand Finals, NRG look to be on course to take home the championship, having secured a 1st place seed and a ten-point advantage. The recent addition of Chris "sweetdreams" Sexton to their roster in January has pushed NRG to the top of the tree.

Other NA giants such as TSM FTX, G2 Esports, and Team Liquid all find themselves with points advantages over the bottom ten sides starting on zero.

The most unlikely of teams in My Little Phony also find themselves with an eight-point advantage in the third seed, the highest of any org-less side. If any upset was on the cards, it would be to the hands of MLP.

As for EMEA, NEW Esports are in the same boat as NRG by paddling out in front during the group stage, whilst they face fierce competition from second-placed Alliance.

Taking place on June 12 and 13, players will earn their rewards by tuning into the Twitch stream, and link their platform account to their EA profile.
