Animal Crossing Players Beautifully Recreate The Office
While we sadly closed the doors to Dunder Mifflin back in 2013, our love of The Office has continued to flourish in popular culture and beyond. Now, someone has added NBC's hit comedy to Animal Crossing.
When it was released onto the Nintendo Switch in 2020, Animal Crossing: New Horizons became the face of the pandemic and kept us connected virtually while we were physically kept apart. The Happy Home Paradise DLC has brought us back to New Horizons, but that's nothing compared to imagining Brewster as Dwight Schrute.
What Does The Office Look Like In Animal Crossing?
This adorable build comes courtesy of redditor u/atlanta_clause. They said that Sydney the koala needed a new home office, so they gave her Dunder Mifflin. Has Sydney moved into the paper distribution business?
Fans loved the detail, and although the OP said it's not 100% perfect, it's as close as they could get it. The build is dotted with The Office Easter eggs like Angela's desk having a cat picture, however, a personal highlight is a green jelly in reference to Jim encasing Dwight's stapler in the dessert.
The conversation quickly turned to who would be who in this fictionalised Dunder Mifflin. There were plenty of calls for Dwight being played by Derwin the lazy duck. We're here for it. By the looks of it, Sydney is the receptionist - meaning she could be anyone from Pam to Erin.
Have Other Players Created The Office In Animal Crossing?
This isn't the first time we've seen Greg Daniels' weird workplace world captured in Animal Crossing. Last year, Twitter user @baoluu used their pandemic time to bring Scranton to their island - even revealing a pint-sized Prison Mike.
Taking it one step further, they've even dubbed their own Animal Crossing scenes from The Office with the OG audio from the series. Now, that's what we call dedication. All we need now is an AC version of Dwight's fire drill.

There's a whole Dunder Mifflin New Crossing Instagram where someone repeatedly creates scenes from the show. With 201 episodes to go through, there's plenty of potential here. As well as Stu the bull as Stanley, you get to see Apollo the eagle as Toby.
We've seen some great Animal Crossing builds like the island from Lost and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Jurassic Park and even Breaking Bad. The fact there are still multiple fans making The Office in New Horizons some eight years after it ended shows exactly why we need a reunion series. Make it happen, Mr. Scott.
