Among Us Is Coming To Xbox In 2021
Innersloth, developers of the party-game sensation Among Us, has been hard at work on the spaceship and are ticking tasks off their list at tremendous speed.
Shortly after revealing that the game will be heading into the new year with a new map, the devs have now confirmed that Among Us will finally be making its way to Xbox, allowing up to ten players to jump into a party and suss out the imposters.
Having become a hugely popular game streamed on Twitch by personalities such as Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter, Felix “PewDiePie” Arvid Ulf Kjellberg, and even US congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Among Us has only been available on PC, Mobile, and recently Nintendo Switch. Now, the game will be launched into console gaming, a massive step for the game.
Among Us will be set to launch on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One as of 2021 and will be available via Xbox Game Pass for Console soon after its release.
The developers stated on Twitter that “Xbox, we cannot wait for you all to join us as crewmates. you can hold our hand as we go into electrical together.”
Xbox describes Among Us as “all about communication, teamwork, betrayal, and deceit”, making it perfect for consoles with the party feature. Jumping into game lobbies or Xbox parties will allow gamers to get the full experience of convincing your crew that Yellow did, in fact, vent right in front of your eyes, or give the imposter a chance to lie through their teeth and marinate their way through a lobby.
With many players awaiting the game coming to consoles in 2021, let's hope that this announcement is not an InnerSloth sabotage…
