It's hard to believe that American Horror Story rocked pop culture and Hot Topic stores everywhere all the way back in 2011. The show has had its moments across its 10 seasons, introducing fans to the range of Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson and showing off the bizarre horror-tinged drama that lay beneath its alluring veneer.

It's now set to make a comeback with its eleventh season, and leaks seem to have been proven right about what waits in store for us - so what's hiding in the return to AHS? Here's everything we know.

Is There An American Horror Story Season 11 Release Date?

Before we knew the release date of the upcoming series, the chairman of FX John Landgraf suggested back in August that we're going to be seeing the return to the show in Autumn.

And now, we finally have our confirmation - it has been revealed that the series will be debuting on Hulu on October 19 2022.

Thankfully, we've got a few names of cast members joining the new series of American Horror Story, and many of them are making a big return.

Zachary Quinto, Patti LuPone, Denis O'Hare, Isaac Powell, Sandra Bernhard and Billie Lorde are all returning to the show, with Quinto making his first appearance in the show since season two. The first character posters are now out there, with the official AHS Instagram highlighting Quinto's Sam.

The poster doesn't give much away, but we see a buff Quinto lying on a bed with what looks like a weather whip. It definitely looks like we're going back down the Rubber Man bondage route this season.

Joining the cast for the first time will be Desperate Housewives' Charlie Carver, who you may also recognise from Ryan Murphy's Ratched. Alongside a peek at Quinto's Sam, there's a character poster of Carver's Adam. There are no further details on his character, but he definitely looks spooked in this first look.

We know now that the theme of the upcoming American Horror Story series will be a New York setting, but before its announcement, we had an inkling of an idea that it could be from one leak confirmed by a cast member.

Leaks indicated that the new season would be subtitled American Horror Story: New York City, and Denis O'Hare retweeted a tweet stating this. Many fans interpreted that it was all but confirmed that the series would be going to the 'Big Apple' for its story, and thankfully, we now know for certain.

We don't know anything about the narrative that lies in wait there, but at least we have an idea of what the setting and aesthetic could come to be. American Horror Story in the big city sounds like a surefire hit if you ask us.
