Another player has entered the server. Tech giant Amazon has broken into another market, once again reinforcing their intentions to become a major player in the gaming sphere. The game streaming service Luna will be competing with Google’s Stadia for the crown of the cloud gaming market.

Run-on Amazon Web Services, the infrastructure Luna will have access to appears to be ahead of the competition. With a price point of $5.99 per month at least initially, it undercuts Stadia’s $9.99 subscription by a solid margin.

According to Amazon, Luna will be able to run games at 4K with 60 FPS for selected titles and will be coming to PC, Mac, and iOS first, with Android integration arriving later. More than 100 games will be available with titles like Metro Exodus, Resident Evil 7, Grind, and more already announced. Moreover, Twitch integration will also be available allowing users to jump right into action launching from Twitch if a supported game piques their interest.

Luna will also have his very own controller available at a price point of $49.99 which is able to directly connect to the WiFi of each user, cutting down on latency according to a statement by Amazon.

Interested players may rightly be skeptical about the product and its features that Amazon is launching here but competition entering the market and steering development as the two major tech giants Google and Amazon race for market control can only help the consumer.
