Amanda Ripley is being tossed back into space, but will she make it out alive? For those who don't know what we're talking about, it's (obviously) the legacy of Alien: Isolation. For the first time ever, an Alien: Isolation mobile release is bringing the survival horror to a smaller screen.

Coming to console and PC in 2014, the game took the tattered lore of the Alien franchise and delivered a game that was not only genuinely terrifying, but a damn good entry into Ridley Scott's world. Since release, Alien: Isolation has been held as one of the best horror games of all time. While there's still no proper sequel from Creative Assemble, a mobile port is finally here.

What Do We Know About The Alien: Isolation Mobile Release?

Feral Interactive has confirmed the Alien: Isolation mobile port is arriving on iOS and Android on December 16. An official description reads, "Alien: Isolation on mobile offers a mesmeric action-adventure on a damaged labyrinthine space station, lightyears from Earth."

It continued: "The stunning AAA visuals, arresting narrative and terrifying atmosphere of Creative Assembly™’s award-winning sci-fi masterpiece have been faithfully replicated for phones and tablets. This is the complete survival horror experience brought to mobile without compromise."

Discussing how the terrifying title has been adapted for mobile, Alien: Isolation has been given a bespoke touchscreen display. We're promised that you'll be able to adapt your playstyle or use gamepads if preferred. Bearing in mind how well the 2019 Switch port was received, we're all in on this one.

How Much Does The Alien: Isolation Mobile Game Cost?

If you want to know what you get and how much it will cost you, Alien: Isolation comes out of the gate hot with a pretty heft $14.99/£12.99 price tag. Then again, it will include all seven DLCs, meaning the likes of Last Survivor and Crew Expendable have made the cut and let you play as the legendary Ellen Ripley.

The big pull here is the idea that Alien: Isolation will play "without compromise" - suggesting that the close quarter's horror of the original game will be replicated on mobile. There's certainly scope for the pulse-pounding horror of hiding in lockers and blasting the Xenomorph with a fire extinguisher, only to be impaled from behind. Imagine curling up in bed, putting your headphones on, and hiding under the covers while trying to escape the Sevastopol.
