Ahead of one of the biggest merger in Call of Duty history, between two long-standing titans, reaches ever closer to being set in stone, one of the most unlikely of sources has 'confirmed' OpTic Dallas.

OpTic Gaming and Team Envy (Dallas Empire) are two of the most storied teams in Call of Duty history, and they look set to be combining forces to make a super squad capable of challenging Atlanta FaZe

Having seen both sides fall short in the CDL 2021 season, OpTic look to be moving out of the grasp of NRG, dropping Dylan "Envoy" Hannon and the retired Matthew "FormaL" Piper in favour of the two remaining Empire players Anthony "Shotzzy" Cuevas-Castro and Indervir "iLLeY" Dhaliwal - the former of who has a very cheeky barber...

After getting a pre-season fade from his local barber, iLLeY's go-to-guy has now 'confirmed' the OpTic Dallas merger with an audacious Instagram post in which he details iLLeY's next ventures whilst tagging OpTic Gaming.

The now-deleted story was captured by some eagle-eyed fans, who were keen to notice the caption "cleaned up my dawg iLLeY for his new venture" and the "OpTicGaming" tag.

Despite getting a fresh fade, the barber-confidentially code was clearly obliterated, assuming the Dallas youngster was open about his next chapter.

Thankfully for the barber, an announcement on the merger is already hugely expected, having seen trademarks for the logo already go live and Seth "Scump" Abner admitting his CDL 2022 contract had been inked.

Insiders have already leaked the replacement organisation, as Washington Demon Cats look to be the name of the US Capital representatives taking the OpTic Chicago spot. The side will also look to field a promising fringe roster, as the plans are almost ready to be rolled out.

At least iLLeY will be looking sharp for the promotion video, as FaDe Clan take on FaZe Clan.
