Pokemon Scarlet and Violet exclusives between the two versions are something we can expect to see when this new generation of games launches. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are continuing the tradition of Pokemon games launching as two different versions of essentially the same game because since day one with Pokemon Red and Blue, there have been Pokemon exclusive to either game. Here is everything we know about the differences between the games so far, these are the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet exclusives.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Exclusives: Legendaries

The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Exclusive Legendaries are called Koraidon and Miraidon and each will have exclusivity to each game.

Koraidon will be the Pokemon Scarlet exclusive legendary and Miraidon will be the Pokemon Violet exclusive legendary.

There's no word on any other legendary or mythical Pokemon being added to either game.

Academies and Outfits:

In Pokemon Scarlet, trainers wear scarlet shorts. As for Pokemon Violet, you will never guess what colour their shorts are. Each version of the trainer will attend their respective academies, although the experience will be almost identical:

  • Scarlet: Naranja Academy
  • Violet - Uva Academy

Lore / Books:

Revealed in the final trailer before Pokemon Scarlet and Violet dropped, there are specific lore elements alongside books for each version linked to Titan Pokemon. We're not going to spoil the details here, but it's a nice set of narrative Pokemon Scarlet and Violet exclusives that we haven't seen for some time. 

Professors:

  • Professor Sada - Scarlet Professor
  • Professor Turo - Violet Professor

Paradox Forms:

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Exclusives also include Paradox Forms. These are past and future-themed takes on existing Pokemon that are tied into the game's lore. Once again, we're not going to spoil the reveal of these Pokemon here, but different Paradox Forms appear in each version.

For example, the final trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet exclusives showed us the following Paradox forms for Donphan:

  • Great Tusk - Pokemon Scarlet Exclusive
  • Iron Treads - Pokemon Violet Exclusive
