While Monster Hunter Rise is predominantly about you and your friends hunting down creatures, there are a variety of other things you need to do. In order to keep ahead of everything and ensure you’re at your peak performance, collecting and gathering resources is also something you need to dedicate time to.

In the early hours of Monster Hunter Rise, there are certain items you’ll need to collect in order to upgrade your equipment, and one of those is Machalite Ore. While strides have been made to ensure the game is easier for newcomers, it can still be slightly confusing. If you want to know exactly where to find Machalite Ore in Monster Hunter Rise, here’s exactly where to go.

Where To Find Machalite Ore In Monster Hunter Rise

Annoyingly, Machalite Ore is something that is commonly needed in the game’s opening hours as you work on upgrading your equipment. The problem is, it’s not as common as you would like it to be. Running around Monster Hunter Rise’s open maps can lead to some confusion as you struggle to track it down.

Your best place to find Machalite Ore in Monster Hunter Rise will be in the Sandy Plains area. You’ll find that ore deposits respawn after a short amount of time, meaning you can go away and come back during your adventure. It’s worth going on an expedition that doesn’t need to be done within a specific time limit, allowing you more time to explore.

They can easily be distinguished by grey mining outcrops in the environment. If you are struggling to find any Machalite Ore in Monster Hunter Rise, you can also venture to the Flooded Forest or the Lava Caverns if you can’t find any in the Sandy Plains. Also look out for Rock Lizards, as they also drop the material.

While there are one or two areas that are heavy in ore deposits, your best bet is to circle the biome. The reason is, this will allow the game time to respawn any deposits you have already picked up. It’s also worth mining any despot you find on timed expeditions too, as it will slowly build up your inventory of Machalite Ore in Monster Hunter Rise.
