Our Lost Ark mount list gives you the full rundown on the game's many beasts and animals which can be utilised to traverse the huge maps much faster. Like any good MMO, Lost Ark has a number of mounts to pick from, and over your playtime, they can save a lot of hours. Whether you want to track down all the mounts, or just find one which suits your character, here's our Lost Ark mount list, along with what they do and how to acquire them.

In short, Lost Ark mounts are animals and monsters that you can equip to traverse the map faster. Their use doesn't stop there though, as they can be utilised for certain in-game activities, and many of them have abilities to aid you during your quests, dungeons, and much more. Mounts are also untradeable, so once you earn one, it will forever be associated with your account.

There are a fair few in the game, and like other items, they have rarities associated with them, meaning some are much harder to earn than others. There will likely be unique mounts that can be earned as part of future events too, assuming Lost Ark follows a similar pattern to other MMOs.

Thankfully, the first of the Lost Ark mounts comes extremely early into the game and can be earned shortly after the prologue. Once you arrive in the first city, Prideholme, you will reach a main story quest called Tower Where Light Lingers. Finishing the quest and speaking to Brother Alfael will reward you with a choice of three horse mounts. There are:

  • Loghill Black Horse
  • Yudia White Horse
  • Dyorika Brown Horse

Once you have selected your mount, it can be found in your inventory, where you can right-click it to activate it as part of your mount list. It's recommended to drag it to your hotbar too, so you can easily access it for quick travel without having to go into the menus.

However, this is only the beginning in terms of the mounts you can earn, as you will gather more of them from progressing further into the main story, completing side quests and other activities, along with buying them from the store.

  • Aside from mounts, another way to traverse the map quickly is sailing, which makes Lost Ark Ships essential.
