Is there a Halo Infinite co-op campaign yet? It's a question many fans will want to know the answer to, as playing the Halo series cooperatively has been a huge allure of the franchise since its very beginning with Combat Evolved. And as the game is finally here, long-time Halo fans will be eagerly awaiting the chance to play through Master Chief's latest outing with their friends. So how do you play the Halo Infinite co-op campaign, and how does it work? Let's find out.

Halo Infinite Co-Op Campaign: How To Play Co-Op

Unfortunately, the Halo Infinite co-op campaign is currently unavailable, as 343 Industries had to delay it along with the Forge mode until sometime in 2022. There is still no exact date for the cooperative mode, but we know they intend to release it sometime during Season 2, and considering the first season is stretching on until May 2022, we'd expect to see it sometime in the second or third quarter of next year.

Although Halo Infinite co-op isn't ready, players can play split-screen in the multiplayer mode, though it's only possible on Xbox as of now. This at least confirms that when the cooperative mode is finally released, players should have the choice of doing so online or in couch co-op like the good old days. With the current split-screen possibilities, up to four players can compete at the same time, but it's unknown if this will carry over to the campaign too, or if it will cap at two players.

That's all we know about the Halo Infinite co-op campaign currently, but watch this space as we will update it with all the latest information when we know more, such as when it's coming and how to access it.

In the meantime, check out our Halo Infinite split-screen guide, and if you're still craving an opportunity to play with friends, take a look at our Halo Infinite multiplayer review.
