Fortnite update v29.10 has arrived, bringing loads of new content to the game including Super Styles for the Battle Pass, a new Mythic weapon, and... a Banana of the Gods?

Just one week after the v29.01 patch dropped, Epic Games has delivered another fresh update for us to enjoy. I've rounded up everything you've got to look forward to in the makeshift patch notes below.

Fortnite update v29.10 patch notes

Super Styles are here!

Every Battle Pass features Super Styles that can only be unlocked after a few weeks - and this season's variants have finally arrived.

There are Stygian, Olympian, and Titanflame styles available for Aphrodite, Medusa, Zeus, Artemis, and Hades. You'll need to finish the entire Battle Pass to start unlocking them, so good luck with that!

The Hand Cannon has been unvaulted

Following this update, you can now find the Hand Cannon in the loot pool. This is a slow-firing but powerful pistol that's available in Rare, Epic, and Legendary variants.

Eat a Banana of the Gods

Another new item this season is the Banana of the Gods. This is a consumable item that not only restores health, but also gives you a speed boost and lets you jump higher - a bit like the old Hop Rocks.

Purchase the Mythic Midas' Drum Gun

If you land at The Yacht on the western side of the Island, you can speak to a Midas NPC who will sell you Midas' Drum Gun for 600 Gold Bars. This is a Mythic weapon, so it'll pack a punch!

Weapon buffs and nerfs

The following buffs and nerfs have been issued with the v29.10 update:

  • Snipers are less common and Uncommon and Rare variants have been removed
  • The damage and fire rate of the Drum Gun has been increased
  • The damage and projectile speed of the Huntress DMR has been increased
  • The damage of the Chains of Hades has been increased when pulling targets
  • The max effective range of the Frenzy Auto Shotgun has been decreased

The biggest change here is the reduction in Sniper availability. Many players have been complaining about being one-shot by snipers in the current season, so this should help alleviate that problem slightly!

Vehicles drift into LEGO Fortnite

Three new vehicles will be available in LEGO Fortnite following the v29.10 update. The Speeder is a fast option for getting around your island, while the Offroader is capable of carrying multiple passengers.

Finally, there's the Hauler, a large vehicle that can be used to carry heavy items around - even a house by the looks of things! Unlock these recipes by adding a Power Cell, Flexwood, and Frostpine to your inventory.

Guardians of the Galaxy crossover coming soon

We've already seen Star-Lord and Gamora drop into the Island in past seasons, but now it looks like another trio of heroes from Guardians of the Galaxy are about to land in the item shop: Groot, Mantis, and Drax!

According to ShiinaBR, they'll be available as part of a bundle that features all three skins, three back blings, three pickaxes and two emotes. Groot, Mantis, and Drax will have LEGO styles too.
