It looks like Resident Evil is back in Fortnite, this time with a crossover between Resident Evil 4 Remake. That's right, if you were a fan of the Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine skins that arrived a few years ago, then you'll surely be pleased to hear that Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield will soon be joining them.

Coming as part of the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 update, these new skins are likely arriving in conjunction with the release of Resident Evil 4 Remake. But how do you unlock these new skins? Here's everything we know about Fortnite x Resident Evil 4 Remake so far.

Fortnite x Resident Evil 4 Remake: Release date

While it's not official, we can expect the Resident Evil skins to arrive sometime in the first few weeks of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. While the Attack on Titan skins are arriving on launch day, March 10, it doesn't look like Resident Evil fans will be that lucky.

Instead, it's more likely that these skins will drop around the same time as the release date for Resident Evil 4 Remake. That's set to release on March 24, so keep an eye out for them around then.

At the moment, we only know about two characters that will be included in the crossover: Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield.

While the timing is consistent with the release of Resident Evil 4 Remake, early looks at the skins see them represented as more akin to their styles in Resident Evil 2. Leon is missing his fetching brown overcoat, instead sporting his iconic blue henley.

It may be that these skins have a few variations to them that let players choose which era of Resident Evil they'd like to style.

At the moment, it's unclear whether these Resident Evil Fortnite skins will be available to unlock via a challenge or in the item shop.

If this is an item shop bundle, then you can expect to fork out a few V-Bucks for the privilege of sporting these fetching items.

However, it could be that Epic Games decides to include a set of challenges to unlock these skins. We last saw this with the Fortnite x Witcher crossover, in which players could unlock a Geralt of Rivia skin.

We will update this guide when we learn more information about the Fortnite x Resident Evil 4 Remake crossover.
