If you're looking for how to get your hands on the new Heavy Incinerator weapon in Fallout 4, I'm here to help.

The Heavy Incinerator is one of a few different weapons added to the game via the Creation Club in the next-gen update. You can find it in the Crucible quest, so here's a rundown of what you need to do in order to get it.

If you'd like help with any of the other new quests in the latest Fallout 4 update, we've also got guides for those below:

Starting the Crucible quest

First up, all you need to do to start the Crucible quest is download the latest Fallout 4 update and you should be good to go.

As long as you've progressed far enough into the game, Crucible will be added to your list of quests alongside others like Pyromaniac.

Once you've got it, you can select it like any other quest and track it on your map. Fast travel to the nearest fast travel point and head to the quest marker to get started.

How to get the Heavy Incinerator

To start on your journey to get the Heavy Incinerator, head to Saugus Ironworks. Clear out the enemies outside and then head through the front door. Inside you'll need to deal with more Forged enemies. Kill them and head upwards to the rafters, then down the other side.

After killing the Forged Keeper, check his body for a note and read it in your inventory to learn about the Heavy Incinerator and some kind of "trial".

The quest will then point you towards a toolbox. Pick the expert lock and read the Forged Recruit's note you'll find inside. Make sure to grab the Smelter Console Password too.

  • Next, head down to the Molten Metal Flow Control and press it
  • Afterwards, use the Smelter Console Password at the Smelter Terminal to move the crucible
  • This will uncover flame resistant Power Armour legs you'll need to use to reach the Heavy Incinerator, so pick them up and grab the regular armoured legs in there too

Use the nearby Power Armour station to mod the Raider Power Armour with flame resistant legs. To do this, follow these steps:

  • Firstly, make sure you're not inside the armour
  • Look at the station and select 'craft'
  • Equip then select the legs and look for 'flame resistance' (don't worry about crafting materials, as you don't need them for this)

With your new legs equipped onto your Power Armour, simply get in the suit of armour and grab the Ghoul Slayer's Heavy Incinerator from its resting place nearby!
