It can be difficult to figure out what the best classes for snipers are in MW2, as the ever-changing meta makes things quite tricky to keep up with - so we've got a list of the ones you'll want to use in Season 6.

While meta Assault Rifles might reign supreme in Modern Warfare 2, there are a select set of extremely powerful sniper loadouts that can dominate matches - after all, even the best players in the game can't do much against a one-hit kill.

Thankfully, we've got you covered with all of the best sniper rifle loadouts in MW2 below, so keep reading to add some range to your game with these classes for Season 6.

5. MCPR-300

Best MCPR-300 loadout in MW2

  • Laser: Corio Laz-44 V3
  • Magazine: 5-Round Mag
  • Bolt: Cronen Smooth Bolt
  • Barrel: 17.5" ORCA
  • Optic: SZ Bullseye

The MCPR-300 is the ultimate sniper for picking off foes from afar, making it brilliant in Warzone 2, but unfortunately, its overwhelming power doesn't transition as well into the fast-paced nature of MW2 multiplayer.

Despite this, an ideal strategy with this weapon is to find an area to lockdown that overlooks your enemies from above, and in this position, you'll be able to rack up kills with ease.

Unfortunately, mobility isn't the MCPR-300's strong suit, so running Overkill and a meta SMG is definitely recommended. While it isn't top-tier, it is still an excellent choice if you're looking for power over anything else.

4. Signal 50

Best Signal 50 loadout in MW2

  • Muzzle: Legion Fire Comp
  • Barrel: 21.5" Fluted Fifty
  • Laser: Corio Laz-44 V3
  • Optic: SZ Bullseye
  • Rear Grip: Cronen Blockade Grip

In fourth place on our list of best MW2 snipers is the Signal 50, which will always be strong thanks to its fast fire rate that makes it easy to land multiple shots on an opponent. Not only that, the recoil between each bullet is minimal, so it's relatively simple to lock onto a foe and secure a kill.

Just like the MCPR, the Signal 50 is a heavy sniper that lacks mobility, so don't expect to be running around the map with this weapon. Despite this, it's a brilliant choice in Season 6, making it especially strong in the hands of a talented sharpshooter.

3. Carrack .300

Best Carrack .300 loadout in MW2

  • Muzzle: XRK Kraken
  • Laser: ACCU-Shot 5MW L
  • Optic: Schlager 3.4x
  • Magazine: 10 Round Mag
  • Rear Grip: Engage-20 Grip

The Carrack .300 surged straight into contention for the best MW2 sniper class shortly after its release and it remains deadly in Season 6, with its semi-automatic fire rate making it lethal even when faced with multiple enemies - and it can certainly pack a punch too.

For a semi-auto weapon, the gun has relatively low recoil and can still get one-hit kills, making it extremely deadly and incredibly versatile. Additionally, with the Schlager 3.4x, you'll have all ranges covered, allowing you to dominate no matter the situation.

It has surged up to a 2.9% pick rate according to WZStats despite being in an underused category, proving that it is certainly one to keep your eyes on if you're a lover of snipers.

2. FJX Imperium

Best FJX Imperium loadout in MW2

  • Laser: ACCU-Shot 5MW L
  • Optic: Forge Tac Delta 4
  • Stock: FJX Kilo-Tac
  • Rear Grip FJX Blast
  • Magazine: 7 Round Mag

The FJX Imperium is MW2's version of the iconic Intervention and while it may not be number one on our list, it's definitely a fan-favourite. With a 0.7% pick rate, it's clear the community loves using the Imperium and it's easy to see why.

With one-shot potential when hitting foes in the head and a relatively fast ADS time with the loadout above, it can be a menace in multiplayer if you can consistently land your shots on target.

1. SP-X 80

Best SP-X 80 loadout in MW2

  • Barrel: 22.5" Elevate-11
  • Laser: Corio LAZ-44 V3
  • Stock: PVZ-890 Tac
  • Optic: SZ Bullseye
  • Bolt: FSS ST87 Bolt

For aggressive players who are looking for fast ADS times, solid mobility, and high bullet velocity, there's nothing better than the SP-X 80 sniper rifle in MW2. Unlike a lot of the snipers above, you can take this gun into enclosed spaces and it can compete if you're accurate.

When it comes to quick scoping, there's no better sniper, as it's the only option that allows you to manoeuvre around a map at high speed while one-shotting foes. As with all snipers though, if you miss a shot when face-to-face with an enemy, it's lights out.

So, there you have it, those are the best sniper rifles in MW2 for dominating multiplayer in Season 6, alongside a top-tier loadout for each of them.
