The latest season not only introduces a new Battle Pass but also a new map in the form of Spearhead - a close-quarters map set in the Swedish wilderness. Along with this, the Specialist known as Rasheed Zain has been added, who is known for using his XM370A airburst launcher to flush enemies out. He can also regain health much faster than other operatives.

An abundance of weapons, gadgets, and vehicles have also been added for you to play around with in Season 3 of Battlefield 2042. Here’s everything that’s been added in the latest update:

  • New Map: Spearhead
  • New Specialist: Rasheed Zain
  • New Vehicle: EMKV90-TOR
  • New Weapons: Rorsch Mk-4, NVK-P125, NVK-S22
  • New Gadget: Throwing Knife
  • New Vault Weapons: XM8 LMG, A-91
  • New Battle Pass

As part of the Battle Pass, players can also take advantage of XP boosts as part of the rewards available. The first is gifted at Tier 18, with more along the path. It’s perfect if you’re trying to catch other players up if you’re new to the world of Battlefield 2042.

Additionally, an array of updates, tweaks, and fixes have also been added alongside Season 3 of Battlefield 2042, with the full list of changes available to see over on the official site.

Season 3 - and the launch of Battlefield 2042 into EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate - marks a new chapter from the franchise, with plenty more content on the horizon.
