A new game mode could be coming to VALORANT. It's name - Orb.

PlayerIGN has datamined this information from the latest patch, finding evidence of a new VALORANT game mode hidden within.

The game mode image has clues such as "enemy reveal" and "hidden", as well as what looks like the ability to dart around the map with "speed boost shoe". Weapons and damage are amped and upgraded, with the chance to fully charge an ult at a 'point' on the map.

The game mode has also been reported on by NukemDead, in his latest VALORANT news YouTube video, where he goes into more detail on what the game mode 'Orb' might include.

Icons associated with the mode were discussed in more detail, as well as the strings of code themselves. NukemDead summarises by saying this mode could help the game by providing a wider variety of modes for players than just the "Bomb Defusal" mode, which is the only playable mode currently available.

There isn't much information out there about the objective of this mode, but it looks to be Team Deathmatch or Domination style with a fast-paced and sneaky twist, due to 'speed boost shoe', 'enemy reveal' and the weapons amping, as well as health regen in those sticky situations.

There is no word yet on whether this will be a permanent addition or a limited-time mode.
