Arrowhead Games Studios' Helldivers 2 thrives on chaos, with players enjoying the scramble to take down countless enemies while simultaneously completing objectives.

Of course, it's key that the developers strike a balance, as overloading a mission with too many foes risks frustrating the community and making the whole experience feel impossible.

One specific mission is causing a serious amount of anger amongst Helldivers, and it's related to the Automatons. According to players, the "stupid" spawns for the objective make no sense, meaning the "ridiculously overturned" mission needs to be addressed.

Helldivers 2 fans want spawn changes for "worst mission in the entire game"

Just like the slow debuff and broken Shield Devastators shooting through the terrain, Helldivers 2 fans want Joel and the devs over at Arrowhead to take a look at the "Rescue Science Teams" mission.

This objective involves you escorting facility staff safely to the evacuation shuttle, but according to players, it's rarely a successful venture. Due to "D-Day invasion" levels of Automatons and "two factory striders" being dropped regularly when attempting to complete the mission, it all feels "hopelessly impossible."

Taking to the Helldivers 2 subreddit, user KissYourHomie showcased their experience with the mission and was immediately surrounded by robots on all sides. There appears to be almost zero counterplay and in any FPS, that's always going to be met with widespread backlash. This certainly isn't an isolated opinion, with hundreds of comments also complaining about the balancing.

"The fact two factory striders dropped is f**king criminal, this mission sucks because Cyborgs are best fought with hit and run and you’re not allowed to do that here," said one user, with another claiming, "I want to see the devs attempt this mission on difficulty or above, I want to know how they expect players to do this."

Helldivers 2 community is "refusing" to play these missions until a fix is released

This mission is despised so much that hundreds of Helldivers are refusing to participate until Arrowhead fixes the overturned difficulty.

In their mind, it completely ruins a play session, especially on the higher difficulties where death seems to be inevitable.

"Yeah, they need to disable this mission, I refuse to play it on 6+." said one user, with another arguing, "I'm with you, I refuse to play these ridiculously overtuned sh**ty missions."

Joel may be the enemy, but he appears to have overstepped the line this time. Let's hope the devs can address this as soon as possible before more anger flares up in the community.
