While the multiplayer of Call of Duty or the battle royale gameplay of Apex Legends are always solid options, it's sometimes fun to try something new.

Luckily, developers StickyLock are releasing the fresh, fast-paced FPS Histera, which focuses on nonstop action and dynamic map changes that completely change the face of skirmishes.

If that wasn't enough, just like Apex and Fortnite, Histera is completely free-to-play so there's no barrier to entry. Until now, we've been in the dark about the game's release date but finally, we know when the early access is going to launch.

FPS Histera finally gets early access release date

FPS fans will be delighted to know that the wait for Histera is nearly over, with StickyLock revealing the game will be available on May 16, 2024.

Launching on Steam early access, the multiplayer title will arrive with two modes, these being Team Deathmatch and Territory Control.

The 8v8 competitive gameplay will offer nonstop action, a variety of weapons, and (obviously) skins to customise your character.

Alongside the chaotic fun, the feature that makes Histera stand out from the crowd is the Glitch mechanic. This completely transforms various areas of the map in the blink of an eye into themes from different eras.
