Many players often skip past the WWII era when discussing the best maps in Call of Duty history, especially coming off the back of the jet-pack era which - hate it or love it - produced some top-quality original and balanced landscapes.

However, Sledgehammer did create one brilliant map for their WWII title, and it looks to be on its way back.

According to reputable leaker "TheMW2Ghost", London Docks will be a map in Call of Duty: Vanguard.

TheMW2Ghost has claimed that as part of an early DLC, London Docks will be returning to the Call of Duty franchise, much akin to how Treyarch has been using the mid-season events to filter the likes of Raid, Standoff, and Hijacked into Black Ops Cold War.

The rustic World War II map will no doubt have an updated texture pack, although, for the most part, it will likely be very similar to the original.

What Maps Will Be In Call of Duty: Vanguard?

Whilst none have been confirmed as of yet, it's suspected that Vanguard will have entirely new maps for their title, upon launch.

However, it appears that Sledgehammer is looking to replicate Treyarch's success of remastering maps in min-season events. This could see the most popular WWII maps being added to Call of Duty: Vanguard throughout the year.

Maps such as Ardennes Forest, Pointe du Hoc, Flak Tower, Gibraltar, and Sainte Marie du Mont could all be in the pipeline for the upcoming title.
