Apex Legends Pro Claims Respawn 'Doesn't Listen To Feedback'
When it comes to adding new elements to Apex Legends, Respawn don't always find the Goldilocks levels. However, one professional player has now commented that they might not have to have their porridge too hot or cold, if only they listened to feedback.
TSMFTX's star Apex Legends player Phillip "ImperialHal" Dosen has claimed that the developers don't listen to their professional player base, despite inviting them for test runs.
ImperialHal blasts Respawn devs who 'Don't listen'
Whether it's the Bocek Bow that landed with seriously overpowered fire rate and damage, or an underpowered Revenant who has needed multiple buffs to now become too strong, the 38-times Apex Legends event winner believes the pro community's voice is ignored when asked for feedback.
“From what I’ve heard, there’s a lot of feedback given from the pro players that they [Respawn] just completely disregard. They literally don’t care,” he said on stream.
“Especially stuff with Valkyrie. There was a bunch of stuff with Valkyrie where they [pro players] said ‘you can’t do this and that’… they don’t listen.
As a specific example, he mentioned the recently arrived Valkyries. He continued: "Especially stuff with Valkyrie. There was a bunch of stuff with Valkyrie where they [pro players] said ‘you can’t do this and that’… they don’t listen."
ImperialHal on Professional and casual differences in Apex Legends
One of the main reason's behind the 'ignorance' may be because of the gap between professionals and casual players, explained ImperialHal.
“It’s funny how the game is so out of touch between competitive and casuals. The two things are so mind boggling that they’re going to nerf Wattson's hotbox and they’re possibly thinking of buffing Gibby,” he said.
“I don’t think they should completely listen to pros, but there’s got to be some common sense. The reasoning behind buffing and nerfing characters makes no sense.”
With this in mind, the TSMFTX player has now said that he's thinking about boycotting the test servers, unless he wants to use them for content purposes rather than to review the altered mechanics.
